Omuo-Ekiti Residents Offer Prayers for AOP, Running Mate as PRP Campaign Team Visits Community

The People's Redemption Party (PRP) campaign team on Friday visited Omuo-Ekiti in Ekiti East Local Government Area, the hometown of the party's Deputy Governorship Candidate, Mrs. Modupe Dorcas Adebiyi, as part of efforts to mobilise support ahead of the Ekiti governorship election.

The delegation, led by the Acting State Chairman of the PRP and accompanied by the party's chairman in Ekiti East Local Government as well as other party leaders and stakeholders, paid a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of the community, His Royal Majesty, Oba Matthew Jegede Durojaye, the Alahan of Ahan-Ayegunle Ekiti.

The monarch welcomed the delegation and urged residents and political actors to embrace peace and participate responsibly in the democratic process.

Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Adebiyi thanked the people of Omuo-Ekiti and the wider Ekiti East community for their support and prayers. She described her nomination as the PRP's deputy governorship candidate as a recognition of the values, resilience and contributions of the people of Ahan-Ayegunle, Omuo-Ekiti and Ekiti East.

She called on residents to support the governorship aspiration of Ayodele Olaniyi Praise (AOP), describing him as a visionary leader committed to the development and progress of Ekiti State.

A major highlight of the visit was a special prayer session conducted by community elders and leaders, who offered prayers for the success of the PRP governorship ticket and for Ayodele Olaniyi Praise and Mrs. Adebiyi in the forthcoming election.

Party leaders said the visit underscored the growing acceptance of the PRP in Ekiti East and reaffirmed the party's commitment to promoting development-driven and people-oriented governance across the state.

The campaign team expressed optimism that continued engagement with communities would further strengthen support for the party's vision for Ekiti State.
