Fayose picks ADC nomination form for ekiti central reps seat

A frontline chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Emmanuel Fayose, has formally intensified his political ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections after obtaining the party’s nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for the Ekiti Central Federal Constituency I seat in the House of Representatives.

The constituency comprises Ado and Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government Areas of Ekiti State.

Fayose picked up the forms at the ADC National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, declaring his readiness to provide purposeful and people-oriented representation for the constituency at the National Assembly.

Speaking shortly after obtaining the forms, the aspirant lamented what he described as inadequate representation of the constituency over the years, stressing that the people deserve a more responsive, accessible and impactful voice in the Green Chamber.

According to him, the decision to join the race was borne out of his desire to serve as a bridge between the people and government while championing policies and developmental initiatives that would improve the welfare of constituents.

He noted that effective representation remains critical to grassroots development, adding that quality leadership must be driven by integrity, accountability and commitment to the people.

Fayose stated that his aspiration is anchored on inclusive development and practical governance capable of addressing the pressing socio-economic challenges confronting the people of the constituency.

He pledged that, if elected, every community within Ekiti Central Federal Constituency I would feel the impact of responsive governance through effective legislative engagement, facilitation of developmental projects and strategic empowerment programmes.

The ADC chieftain further assured constituents that his representation would focus on economic opportunities, infrastructure development, youth and women empowerment, education, accessible healthcare delivery and human capital development.

“I will prioritise the interest and welfare of my people. I will bring governance closer to the people through responsive representation, accessible leadership, empowerment initiatives and practical development programmes that will positively impact our communities,” he said.

Expressing confidence in his chances, Fayose said his ambition is strengthened by his grassroots connection, competence and capacity to deliver purposeful leadership.

He added that his emergence would usher in credible, focused and accessible representation capable of attracting meaningful development and improving the quality of life of the people.

The aspirant, however, appealed to party leaders, members and supporters across the constituency to rally behind his ambition and work collectively towards securing victory for the ADC in the 2027 election.
