Ekiti Rep Akinlayo Kolawole Delivers Ward for Tinubu in APC Presidential Primary




Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole,  member representing Ekiti North Federal Constituency lI comprising Moba/ Ilejemeje/Ido-Osi Federal Constituency  in the House of Representatives, has recorded a major political victory in his ward following the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held on Saturday in Ekiti State.


Akinlayo, who mobilised support for the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, delivered an overwhelming victory for the President in Igogo Ward 2, Moba Local Government Area, where Tinubu polled 595 votes.

The outcome recorded at the ward showed that out of the 687 registered voters accredited for the exercise, 595 votes were cast in favour of President Tinubu, with no void or invalid votes recorded during the process.


Political observers described the outcome as a strong demonstration of the lawmaker’s grassroots influence and organisational strength within the APC structure in Ekiti North Federal Constituency II.


The primary election witnessed active participation from party faithful and stakeholders across the ward. 



Akinlayo who voted at the same ward where the exercise took place, praised its peaceful conduct and the voters for their impressive turnout.


Supporters of the federal lawmaker hailed the result, describing it as a reflection of growing confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and the APC’s political dominance in the area ahead of the 2027 general elections.


Akinlayo, a prominent APC chieftain in Ekiti State, has continued to play a visible role in party mobilisation and constituency engagements since his emergence into the National Assembly.
