EKITI 2022 Guber: Segun Oni Prioritizes Workers Welfare

...denies BAO, APC alliance as SDP National Chairman endorses him

The Social Democratic Party, SDP governorship flag bearer in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ekiti state,  Engineer Adebayo  Segun Oni has assured civil servants of prompt payment of salaries  if elected as Governor of the state come June 18 2022.

Oni made this promise during his finale campaign in Ado Ekiti, the State capital on 16th June 2022 at the Ado Ekiti pavilion centre.

He also declared that the  news spread by some quartets that he met with the All Progressive Congress, APC presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to step down for Biodun Oyebanji of the APC, is false and such news emanated from the camp of his rivals who are aware of his credibility.

" I met with some civil servants and I discovered that pension deductions are not paid by the current government.

Therefore, if we don't do anything fast now, it means very soon our people will be retiring and then, nothing would be done"

"Some people carried rumour that I met with Bola Ahmed Tinubu that I would step down for APC, I want to tell you today that it did not happen and it will never happen."

The SDP National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Shehu Musa Garba endorsed him, portrayed  Oni as a man of peace, unifier and one  who believes  in fairness.

He thanked his loyalists for their unrelenting sacrifice and charged them to canvass and vote  for him come June 18 so as to win the election.

" Let me tell you, it's not about today but Saturday. I want to assure you that SDP believes in Segun Oni, we have confidence in him.

He is a man of peace, equity and fairness.

The party is grateful for your sacrifice and we assure you that he will deliver well.

Therefore, let's all come out this Saturday and vote for our son so that SDP can be victorious.

Also, the Presidential Candidate of the Party, Adewole Adebayo enjoined the party patriots to vote for Oni and support him come 2023 general election for the betterment of the State.

Chief Segun Oni was then formally presented the flag of the party by the SDP National chairman.

Some of the dignitaries that attended the event include the SDP governorship Candidate of Taraba State, Danladi Baido, Kenneth Gbagi of Delta State, Akeem Lawal of Kwara State, Dr Umar Ardo of Adamawa State and many others.
