Gov Oyebanji to celebrate 3rd year anniversary as commitee celebrates ekiti airport approval prepares weeklong event

As part of it's preparations to mark the 3rd year anniversary of governor Oyebanji's administration, the Committee Chairman Mr. Niyi Adebayo, has congratulated the entire people of the State on the approval given the Ekiti Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport to commence full commercial flight operations.
Adebayo, who is the Chief of Staff to Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji expressed this on Wednesday at a press conference held at the Governor’s office Ado-Ekiti, to usher in the weeklong activities marking the anniversary.
The Chief of Staff noted that the approval follows the State’s full compliance with all regulatory requirements of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) having met the required operational standards as confirmed by the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) in its instrument flight check validation report.
Expressing gratitude to the good people of Ekiti State for their unwavering support, understanding, and cooperation with the administration over the past three years, Adebayo recounted that three years ago, the people of Ekiti State entrusted His Excellency with a mandate, a mandate to deliver inclusive development, uphold good governance, restore public confidence in leadership, and reposition Ekiti on the path of sustainable progress.
"Today, we stand at a significant milestone, not just to reflect on how far we have come, but to celebrate what we have achieved together as a government and as a people" he noted.
According to him, the feat and many more are the outcomes of comprehensive process of deliberate planning, developing, and maintaining the essential systems that the State’s economy can rely on, in addition to infrastructure like roads, power, and water.
"It is also a testament to the visionary leadership and relentless commitment of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, whose practical, problem-solving and value-based approach to governance continues to translate dreams into tangible realities"
Speaking on the theme: "Consolidating Impactful Governance", the Committee Chairman explained that this reflects the Governor’s commitment to continuity, accountability, and bold development strides across all sectors of the economy.
Highlighting the governor's achievements over the last three years, Adebayo stressed that under the Six Pillars of the present administration which are; Governance; Youth Development and Job Creation; Infrastructure and Industrialization; Agriculture and Rural Development; Human Capital Development; and Arts, Culture and Tourism, Mr. Adebayo remarked that Governor Oyebanji has recorded transformative achievements, many of which we will be showcasing throughout the anniversary period which include; The construction and rehabilitation of critical road infrastructure connecting towns and villages, and enhancing access to farms, markets, schools, and healthcare.
Revamping public health facilities across the state for improved healthcare delivery, including several fully equipped general hospitals. Five completely revamped and equipped general hospitals will be commissioned during the anniversary events. Significant investments in education, public service reforms, and innovation-driven youth empowerment. Strengthening our agricultural value chain, construction of rural access roads, and enhancing food security.
Strategic investments in power, security, and technology, including the commissioning of electrification projects in rural communities and improvement of the security architecture, and the advancement of social investment programmes targeting pensioners, the elderly, and vulnerable households.
He explained that the anniversary activities include: Flag-off and commissioning of many projects across the state — roads, hospitals, public health centres, dormitories and electrification projects.
A State of the State Address by the governor before the House of Assembly.Engagement with key demographic groups; including the elderly, public servants,and pensioners.
Thanksgiving and interfaith observances, such as the Jumat Service, an evening of praise, and a Christian thanksgiving service as well as unveiling of initiatives that will take Ekiti to greater heights in the coming years.
The Chief of Staff maintained that the administration remains focused on delivery, transparency, and leaving a lasting legacy saying that in the fourth year, they would consolidate growth and development gains, and engender accelerated economic opportunities for all citizens.
Earlier in his opening remark, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Information, Chief Taiwo Olatunbosun while assuring that the Oyebanji administration would continue to partner the media, urged the media to support the anniversary.
