According to him, the  Police Mobile Force, Tactical Units, Intelligence Units, sister agencies and the local security outfits have all been deployed to all the  strategic locations, entry and exit points in the  State to monitor and quash the possible influx of criminal elements into the State.

Abutu also  explained that that all the officers deployed are from within the  state  and neither were they deployed for  political reason as being insinuated by some sections of the media.

He encouraged members of the public not to panic, but go about their lawful businesses, as the heavy deployment of security operatives seen currently is not for intimidation but to ensure security.

He maintained that the Commissioner of   Police,  Joseph Eribo, has equally instructed the operatives deployed for the task to be civil, firm and professional, while carrying out their duties.
