Hon Adegbite lauds Ewi's legacy as monarch marks 80th birthday, 35 years on the throne

As encomiums continue to pour in for the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe, following his 80th birthday and the 35th anniversary of his coronation, Hon, Ayodeji Adegbite, the lawmaker representing Ado Constituency 1 in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, has commended the revered monarch for his exceptional leadership and transformative impact on Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, and beyond.

In a congratulatory message, Hon Adegbite described the milestone celebrations as a rare privilege and a testament to the Ewi’s enduring reign, characterized by peace, unity, and remarkable development.

The lawmaker said that Oba Adejugbe’s dedication to service in the last 35 years has fostered immense blessings for the people of Ado-Ekiti, helping to shape the city into a thriving and respectable state capital.

Hon Adegbite appluaded the monarch's pivotal role in the historic struggle for the creation of Ekiti State, his dignified stewardship of the throne, promotion of communal harmony, preservation of cultural values, and his significant contributions to nation-building. 

The legislator portrayed the traditional ruler as a dependable adviser and an embodiment of wisdom whose counsel continues to guide leaders and indigenes both at home and in the diaspora.

Recognizing the profound impact of Oba Adejugbe’s leadership, Hon Adegbite called on Nigerians to celebrate this milestone and prayed for the monarch’s long life, good health, and many more fruitful years on the throne.
