Suspected Cultist Arrested By Kogi State Polytechnic With Hard Drugs

Operatives of Kogi State Polytechnic Security unit have intercepted a young man named Friday Momoh who was said to be in possession of hard drugs. Momoh a 26 year old indegene of lokoja local government area of kogi state was arrested when he was about to enter the main campus on Tuesday 6th of September 2022 with about 66 wraps of weed suspect to be Indian hemp, 4 containers of weed, assorted charms, scissors, another substance called 'ICE' and 52,000 naira cash. The chief security officer of the institution, Mr. Emmanuel Onu said Momoh though the suspect is not a student of the institution was caught based on the alertness of the security unit on a report that some students of the institution were planning a picnic as one of the activities to mark the 2022 student's week. Mr. Onuh maintained that since the report that some cultists were regrouping to test the might of the polytechnic security but the nipped in the bud by the proactive personnel of the polytechnic. The suspect was said to have confessed to belong to one secret cult group called " Aro Bagger confraternity " and has since been handed over to the authorities for further investigation. The Rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Usman Salisu while commending the security unit warned that criminal minded elements should steer clear of the campuses of the institution as he warned that any attempt to cause break down of law and order will be repelled.
