Independence: NSCDC Felicitates With Nigerians On 62nd Anniversary ......as Audi promises adequate security on 1st Of October

The Commandant General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, has felicitated with President Mohammadu Buhari GCFR and all Nigerians on the occasion of Nigeria's 62nd Independence Anniversary. The NSCDC Boss in a press release issued on 30th September 2022 to journalists in Abuja said the outfit is poised to maintain peaceful coexistence enjoined in the country. Dr. Audi also hinted that he has ordered massive deployment of officers and men for adequate security and safety of citizens and to ensure the success of all activities lined up for the anniversary celebration across the country. He maintained that the Corps will work with other security agencies to make the 62nd independence anniversary peaceful despite some perceived surmountable challenges. He advised citizens to go about the celebrations in the most peaceful, orderly and laws abiding manner. He also charged the citizens to eschew tribalism, ethnic discrimination, religious bigotry, nepotism and any act capable of truncating the existence of Nigeria. "As the Nation marks the 62nd independence Anniversary, it is very germane that we come together and celebrate as a nation. "Let's give peace a chance and shun all untoward behaviour but strengthen our faith and loyalty to the Nation.
"Let us celebrate love and renew our sense of belongingness to enable us wage war against our common enemies causing troubles in various quarter", the CG said. He stated that the mandate of NSCDC in Safeguarding all Critical National Assets and Infrastructures is sacrosanct and assured that the Corps will continue to work relentlessly to salvage the nation from economic saboteurs. "I have directed that our officers and men be massively deployed to event centers, markets, shopping complexes, churches, mosques, motor parks, and all venues of independence anniversary across the nation. "We will maintain 24 hours surveillance of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure to prevent them from been attacked or vandalised by miscreants and hoodlums.
