I Didn't Cry To Anybody For Help' - Venerable Akenroy

Retired Venerable Hezekiah Akenroye has debunked an online newspaper report that he cried for help over the settlement of medical bills in respect of his wife who delivered Triplets. The newspaper had reported that the 71-years-old retired Venerable whose wife Durodoluwa Felicia delivered a set of Triplets on September 21, 2022 at the Ekiti Teaching Hospital, Ado-Ekiti, was stranded and in need of help to settle the medical bills. In his reaction, the retired Venerable said he was embarrassed by the report which he described as the figment of imagination of the writer as he was never stranded in any way and did not cry out for help. According to him, only two of the babies who were still in intensive care had been delivered at the time of the report and that their mother still needed two pints of blood to enable her deliver the third baby. He pointed out that the picture of babies published in the newspaper was not that of his babies as they were still in intensive care at the time of the report and only authorized medical personnel had assess to them. He said his wife and babies were yet to be discharged and given the medical bills at the time of the reports, revealing that he had received phone calls from one Sister Bola from the office of the First Lady of Ekiti State, who promised to report the wonderful gifts of babies; and other well meaning people expressing the desire to assist. Retired Ven. Akenroye lamented that the fake report had made him received several embarrassing phone calls and insisted that he never cried out for help as portrayed by the newspaper. “For the avoidance of doubt, I was at the Cathedral for many years before retiring at Ebenezer Anglican Church, contrary to the report. He said the online newspaper reports should be discountenanced by the people as it was fallacy as no one interviewed him on the matter, adding that God that gave him the children would surely take care of the situation.
