Court orders remand of former deputy governorship candidate in Ekiti

A former deputy governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Honorable Idowu Afuye has been remanded in the Ado Ekiti correctional centre by a magistrate court sitting in Ado Ekiti.
He was arraigned by the police after he was petitioned by Senator Cyril Fasuyi representing Ekiti North Senatorial District of Ekiti State at the National Assembly.According to findings, the petitioner accused Afuye of blackmail, cyber bullying amongst other charges levied against him.
Idowu Afuye was the deputy governorship candidate on the platform of Action Democratic Party (ADP) in the 2022 gubernatorial elections in Ekiti before dumping the party and her governorship candidate Erelu Kemi Elebute for the APC few days to the election.
It is on record that Erelu Kemi Elebute also dumped the APM for the APC few months after the election.
