The leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ekiti state has been urged to remove its flag bearers in the forthcoming LCDA's election in Isokan local council development area of the state.
The candidatures of Hon. Kayode Ogundaisi and Adeyemo Felicia has led to a serious outcry by a large section of the party members from Ifaki ward l, II, Orin Ora and Aaye/Ifisin Igbole over their anti party activities during the Gubernatorial, Senatorial and House of Assembly elections.
The members who could not hide their displeasure over the handpicking of Hon. Ogundaisi as the LCDA chairman and Felicia Adeyemo both from Aaye and Ora respectively.
The angry members pointed out that Honorable Ogundaisi worked against the APC in the last gubernatorial, Senatorial and House of Assembly elections.
Hon. Ogundaisi and Felicia Adeyemo was alleged to have joined Segun Oni's SDP and worked assiduously against the APC which nearly cost the ruling party the Guber and House of Assembly elections.
Speaking on the phone, one of the Elders of the party who simply gave his name as Elder Ayo said Hon. Ogundaisi is not fit to raise the party's flag in the area.
"This is somebody who worked against the APC openly in the last election. His house was used as the meeting and distribution point for the SDP, how can you pick that same person as your party candidate? " the angry Elder maintained.
Felicia Adeyemo on her part was accused to have joined forces with Funso Ayeni of the PDP against Cyril Fasuyi of the APC. It was alleged that Adeyemo was the distribution point for Funso Ayeni and did it so openly .
Some other people who also spoke under the condition of anonymity said Hon Ogundaisi and Adeyemo candidature is a big slap on their face and all APC as a body.
They declared that such person with alleged questionable character ought not to be considered for such sensitive position even if be claimed he has repented.
Hon. Ogundaisi who is from Aaye community is also alleged to be using a forged certificate as some aggrieved members are threatening to rebel against the party if Honorable Ogundaisi and his deputy are not removed as the party's flag bearer.
The outcry against the APC candidates in Isokan LCDA is seriously gathering momentum as disgruntled members are appealing to the Party leaders, the state Governor and other stake holders to ensure the substitution of the duo due to the open support Hon. Ogundaisi gave the SDP and the PDP respectively.
It is open knowledge that Inec had to conduct a rerun in the area during the February elections before the Victory of Hon. Abiodun Fawekun of the APC was affirmed.
Hon. Ogundaisi and Adeyemo Felicia are being accused of supporting Muyiwa fadahunsi of the SDP and nearly cost the APC the election.
The announcement of the duo was considered an aberration while those who suffered for the party are getting marginalized.
