Engr. Ayọ Omotoso, Convener of Ayo Omotoso Foundation and Movement, has congratulated the Gov-elect of Ekiti state Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the well deserved victory at the Federal High Court in Ado-Ekiti on Thursday.
The Federal High court, sitting in Ado Ekiti, had upheld the emergence of Oyebanji in the January 27, 2022 primaries of the party, where the petitioner, Engr Kayode Ojo came second.
Sequel to his emergence as the candidate of the party, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji emerged the winner of the June 18, 2022 gubernatorial election, thereby emerging the Gov-elect.
Oyebanji's emergence at the APC primaries on January 27, 2022 is been challenged by another aspirant, Engr. Kayode Ojo at the court.
Omotoso urged all party supporters and loyalists to put all hands on deck to support the Gov-elect, and who will be inaugurated on October 16, 2022.
"Hon. Oyebanji was divinely selected by God, and the good people of Ekiti loved him, elected him and I am sure we will all stand by him.
"The Gov-elect during his thank you tour across all the 16 local government areas reaffirmed his commitment to his campaign promises.
"No doubt, he is a man of his words, and will do as he has promised. He is a promise keeper and will definitely ship the State to prosperity.
"All of us in the foundation and movement rejoice with him on his victory at the court and in advance for all pending ones," Omotoso stated.
