Federal Poly Ado-Ekiti Has Done It Again...

In less than two years now, the Engineering students of FPA produced a drone that amazed everyone in the institute, they have yet made another machine to fight against Covid 19.


The Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti has unveiled some modern technological facilities designed by the institution to fight covid-19 and check its spread within the campus.

The facilities include, motorized and solar power hand washing machines, long contact inferred temperature measuring device as well as several other materials such as soap, sanitizers and face masks.


Staff of the institution, journalists and invited guests were stunned to surprise as some of these facilities were tested and they all worked seamlessly and perfectly.

Addressing newsmen during the launch of the facilities, the rector of the polytechnic, Dr Dayo Oladebeye
said all the items were produced exclusively by institution.

Dr Oladebeye explained that the machines were designed in such a way that it could be used without any hand or body contact adding that such practice was the best way to prevent spread of viral diseases.

He explained that more of the gadgets 
would be produced and placed at strategic locations within the polytechnic for use by staff, students and visitors as soon as government re-opens schools.


Speaking on the motorized and solar power handwashing machines, Dr Oladebeye told newsmen that the machine would serve many students within a short period of time, compare to the usual ones in public places.

The Polytechnic Rector called on the state government and other interested institutions to place their order for the machines at the polytechnic,saying the facilities are durable and will serves many purposes.

According to him, if the machines could be placed at public places across the sixteen local governments of the state, it will check the continuous spread of the virus
